Information on the Singapore Standard Code of Practice for OAE Activities (SS 710:2024)

SS 710:2024 was published in 2025 and launched at the NOEC 2025 in April. Owned by Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the inaugural code of practice was co-convened by Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and the Outdoor Learning and Adventure Education (OLAE) Association. It provides guidance to help OAE activity providers deliver safe, meaningful, and educational experiences.

This standard covers the following:
a) Accountabilities of OAE activity providers;
b) Responsibilities and minimum competence of programme supervisors, activity leaders and assistant activity leaders;
c) Risk management system;
d) Readiness of locations and facilities; and
e) Adequacies of equipment and the minimum information to be communicated to participants and potential participants before, during and after the activity for their safety.
