Sectoral data provides an important foundation for understanding and strengthening Singapore's outdoor education landscape. This information, over time, can support better planning, stronger collaboration, and more informed conversations about the sector's growth and development.

The data covers:

As part of the 1st Term Council's efforts, this sectoral data initiative was introduced to appreciate Singapore's OAE sector and the experiences it offers. It reflects an early effort to bring together shared data from across the sector, with the potential to deepen understanding and support future development as more data is contributed over time.

Year 2023

This 2023/2024 infographic presents data from 14 OAE providers, collected over five months, revealing the diversity of Singapore's outdoor education landscape. It highlights common activities, venues, and programmes across the sector.

The data reveals that over 60% of participants were secondary school students, challenge rope courses were the most frequently conducted activity, and cycling was notably less prevalent across providers.

Our youths experience programmes that enrich their appreciation of diversity, encourage reflection on authentic learning experiences, and build resilience through a place-responsive pedagogical approach.
